A huge thank you to all those who have generously donated to our ‘fighting fund’. We are using these much needed funds to argue the case for a sustainable development of the brewery site and to support our community campaign.
We have raised almost half of our target of £20,000. Money has been spent on:
- 3D Visualizations of the enlarged 1250 residential unit scheme and our own Community Plan to use on all our materials and channels
- Legal support from specialist planning lawyers
- Advice from leading planning consultants to support our case for review of the scheme by the Secretary of State, Robert Jenrick.
- New poster and leaflet campaign in May – we have leafleted over 2000 local residents in Mortlake, Barnes and Sheen
Our crowd funding page is still live and more funds will be needed to convince the GLA and Robert Jenrick to support the community. We will need further expert advice and also new eye-catching materials to raise awareness. We also have other campaign ideas including making a short film about the impact of heights of the buildings which can be shared on social media.
