MBCG is grateful to have the opportunity to comment on the latest plans which have been produced to satisfy the Mayor’s requirements. However, whilst we appreciate the need for the housing to include a greater affordable quantum, we are much concerned that this has been done through a significant intensification of development on the site placing an even greater strain on the existing transport infrastructure which is severely constrained by the River, by the railway and its level crossings and by the Chalker’s Corner junction; and also placing a greater strain on the existing social infrastructure.
